On the heels of last fall’s collaboration, which resulted in a 90 percent sell-through, Nine West and InStyle have come together again to launch a complete accessories collection for spring. Hitting stores tomorrow, the collection combines InStyle’s industry insight with Nine West’s footwear and accessories expertise to bow an array of shoes (18 of ’em), clutches and cuffs. Retailing from $70 to $109, the collection will be available at all of Nine West’s U.S.
Nine West released a stop motion video on its YouTube channel today featuring two shoes on a mission to find love through online dating. Inspired by Tinder, “Sole Finder” centers on Martina, a Nine West stiletto pump, and Jake, a men’s oxford, scrolling through potential romantic matches via a social media dating app and agreeing to meet for a blind date. The video was shot over the course of three days at the Nine West flagship store in New York and a downtown apartment using more than 4,000 still images.
What’s worse than the Monday blues? Waking up to pouring rain on Tuesday. But the blast of color at Nine West’s Fall/Winter 2013 press preview cheered us right up. From smoking slippers and ballerinas to kitten heels and pumps, jewel tones reigned supreme throughout the expansive collection, while ponyhair and velvet added some textural interest to classic silhouettes.
Designers take note: Jones Apparel Group (JAG) is hiring! Rather than run the traditional classified ad, the fashion conglomerate is holding a designer search event in partnership with Gen Art, an arts and entertainment organization dedicated to showcasing emerging fashion designers. The cocktail party is scheduled for Nov. 18th at JAG’s Rachel Roy showroom in New York.
