Dankso Attends Small Business Owner Meeting with President Obama

Dansko today announced that co-founder and CEO, Mandy Cabot, was one of 15 small business owners to meet with Presdent Obama at the White House on Tuesday, Nov. 27, to discuss the potential impact of upcoming tax and economic policy changes on small businesses.

New Balance Partners with Soles4Souls to Aid Hurricane Victims

Yesterday, New Balance and Westin Hotels kicked off the worldwide launch of their gear-lending program to aid Soles4Souls with a 5K run in New York City. Associates also participated on runs throughout the country to help the brand reach their goal of donating 15,000 pairs of shoes to the charity, which provides footwear to adults and children in need throughout the world. The majority of donations assisted Hurricane Sandy victims. Padma Lakshmi (left), the host of television show Top Chef and award-winning author, helped to commence the event.

Wolverine Company Store Event for Red Cross Aid

Heritage work brand Wolverine is having a charity meet-and-greet on Nov. 16 at its pop-up shop at 242 Elizabeth Street in New York’s Nolita neighbhorhood. The event is part of the Capsule Neighborhood Network taking place this Friday and Saturday. Retailers, showrooms and restaurants in downtown Manhattan are offering discounts and sample sales to entice shoppers back to an area that lost a lot of sales during Hurricane Sandy and the blackout that followed the storm.

New Balance Foundation Joins The American Red Cross Disaster Responder Partner Program

New Balance Foundation has announced a national partnership with the American Red Cross to become a Disaster Responder Partner with a donation of $250,000 to aid current Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, as well as fund future disaster recovery efforts. 

“Through the generosity of its partners such as New Balance Foundation, the Red Cross is providing shelters, hot meals, blankets and supplies to help families with their most critical needs now and as they begin to move toward recovery,” says Neal Litvack, chief development officer of the American Red Cross.
