The Walking Company has announced its fourth annual “Walking for Hope” campaign for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The chain will offer exclusive pink ribbon products from Abeo, Ugg, Dansko and more to support City of Hope’s breast cancer research, treatment and education program, and local charities and grassroots events dedicated to the research, prevention and treatment of breast cancer.

Dansko CFO Jim Fox has been named 2014 CFO of the Year in the Medium Company Category by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Selected by an independent panel of judges and sponsored by Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business, the award recognizes financial professionals in the Greater Philadelphia area for their outstanding performance as corporate financial stewards.

Mandy Cabot, co-founder, president and CEO of Dansko, is the 2013 recipient of the T. Kenyon Holly Memorial Award for outstanding human achievement. Presented by Two Two, the award is bestowed upon an individual in the footwear industry who exemplifies the philanthropic spirit and character of the late T. Kenyon Holly, past president of the foundation. “Mandy is the epitome of what Two Ten is about…an unconditional commitment to caring,” says Jim Salzano, Two Ten board chair.

Dansko sends footwear in support of Philippine typhoon victims.

In response to the horrific destruction in the Philippines, comfort shoe brand Dansko is sending 2,200 pairs of children’s shoes to southeast Asian island nation. “For us, giving back to the local and global community is a guiding principle and our relief effort for the Philippines is part of our ongoing partnership with Soles4Souls,” says Founder, President and CEO Mandy Cabot.

Dankso Attends Small Business Owner Meeting with President Obama

Dansko today announced that co-founder and CEO, Mandy Cabot, was one of 15 small business owners to meet with Presdent Obama at the White House on Tuesday, Nov. 27, to discuss the potential impact of upcoming tax and economic policy changes on small businesses.

“It was the opportunity of a lifetime,” Cabot says. “President Obama was engaging and appeared genuinely interested in the stories of the business owners at the table.”

Dansko Commits $125,000 to Soles4Souls in Support for Japan

In response to the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, Dansko has committed $125,000 in shoes and financial aid to industry charity Soles4Souls. Dansko employees made monetary donations with the West Grove, PA-based company matching each dollar contributed.
