London-based designer Charlotte Olympia has created a line of shoes and accessories inpsired by classic comic strip Archie. Set to launch Nov. 1, the capsule collection includes a comic-printed Carmen wedge ($1,295), a playful Archie clutch ($1,595) and suede peep toe pumps ($1,095) with Betty and Veronica details. The limited-edition line will be available exclusively at Charlotte Olympia stores in Mayfair, Manhattan and Beverly Hills, as well as online at www.charlotteolympia.com. Nordstrom and luxury accessories boutique On Pedder will also carry the pieces.
Six years after launching her eponymous collection, Barbara Briones is attempting to bring her business to an even broader group. “I believe that in terms of design and craftsmanship, the brand has become sophisticated to appeal to a more global woman, never leaving behind our focus on quality,” the Chilean designer notes.
On the heels of her U.S. flagship store opening in Manhattan, luxury accessories designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal puts an appropriately patriotic spin on a basic pump and turns it into a star-spangled essential, just in time for the Fourth of July. The Priscilla Stars and Stripes retails for $1,050. Call 212-744-1842 or visit www.charlotteolympia.com.
