Last week, basketball star Kelsey Plum revealed her latest player exclusive (PE) sneakers with Under Armour. The styles are dedicated to raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention, a cause that holds special significance for Plum.
The Breakthru 5 ‘Mental Health Awareness (MHA)’ PE’s feature a vibrant combination of blue and purple. The colors, associated with suicide prevention awareness, complement a white outsole adorned with light blue speckles. The shoes also sport a purple and blue ribbon heel tab, another symbol for suicide prevention awareness. Split between the heel of each shoe is the phrase, “What you water will grow.” The saying drives home the importance of self-care and positive energy for maintaining mental health.
