Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy’s rescue dog, Miss Peaches, is famous in her own right — @famousmisspeaches has 1.4 million followers on Instagram. Now, she’s about to become even more famous, with her likeness displayed on a new clog from Muck Boots. Designed in an aptly peach hue, the limited-edition slip-on clog features Miss Peaches along with “Adopt Don’t Shop” and exclusive tokens.
Muck Boots x Dave Portnoy is designed to raise money and awareness for animal rescue. For each pair sold on the retailer/media empire’s website, Barstool Sports will donate 100% of proceeds to animal shelters across the country. Retailing for $65, Muck Boots assisted Barstool with special pricing in order to maximize profits to contribute to the donation.
“Miss Peaches was a victim of neglect and hoarding, and has captured the hearts of people across the country,” Portnoy offers. “She’s raised more than $1 million for animal shelters through sales of merchandise, and every penny raised by Miss Peaches goes back to the Adopt Don’t Shop movement, which supports various shelters across the country.”
The brand’s Muckster Lite silhouette is designed to go from tailgating to walking the dog and hanging with friends in comfort and slip-resistant traction. This limited-edition is built from a high-performance, lightweight foam called BioLite, which is ultra-durable and easy to clean.
