Cult men’s footwear brand Marc Nolan is expanding its offering of classic and contemporary styles to the women’s market. Launching today, the collection includes 22 new shoes (available in size 5–11) equipped with thick yet lightweight soles suited for longer usage.
“The footwear market has traditionally prioritized comfort and versatility in men’s shoes, whereas women’s shoes have long emphasized style,” Marc Nolan Founder and CEO, Sebastian Malczewski tells Footwear Plus Unlaced. “We created a women’s line to hit that sweet spot of both style and comfort that seamlessly transitions from day to night, when going to the office to a night out.”
The inaugural women’s line plays off of the brand’s beloved loafers and dress shoes. (Fans include Robert Downey Jr, Winston Duke, Ethan Hawke, and David Harbour.) Styles boast a sense of playfulness with saturated colors, highly textural construction, and bold prints. Shoes retail for $135–$170.
“Fans of the brand have continually asked when we would expand our offering into women’s,” Malczewski adds. “After about two years of development, it was finally the right time. “We noticed there was a gap in the women’s market for high-quality, stylish, yet affordable footwear. We are so confident we’ve created something special here.”
The brand will be officially celebrating the new collection today with an in-store launch shopping event at its Chicago Flagship location.
