BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester has teamed up with Jordan Brand and Specialized Bikes to release a limited-edition “BIKE AIR” BMX bike. The all-chrome bike celebrates the release of Sylvester’s AJ4 RM Driveway Grey Air Jordan sneaker, available today August 8.
Model @wuzg00d stars in the bike’s debut visual on Instagram, and she’s also sporting the new Driveway Grey colorway. The bike’s chrome hue was inspired by the athlete’s childhood obsession with chrome BMX bikes, one of the most popular in the ’90s and an enduring symbol of BMX culture.
“As a kid, I was obsessed with all chrome BMX bikes. Nothing else shined like a chrome BMX bike in motion on a bright summer day,” Sylvester writes on Instagram. “This bike is one of my childhood dreams fulfilled, and it celebrates the upcoming release of my AJ4 RM Driveway Grey.”
