There are two very good reasons why I don’t wear rain boots: one, I associate wellies with farms (and I am not a farmer); two, the rubber always cuts into my skin. But after checking out the Arctic Adventure collection from The Original Muck Boot Company, I’m tempted to change my mind.
Unless you’re a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, traversing through sewers and tunnels is probably not part of your day-to-day life. And if you’re in Las Vegas, it’s one activity that’s definitely not on your to-do list. Heritage boot brand Palladium partnered with renowned exploration duo Undercity (director Andrew Wonder and urban historian Steve Duncan) to put their Waterproof Collection to the test and document the subterranean tunnel system that quietly resides beneath the bustling city of sin.

“Less is more” might be the most influential philosophy in footwear at the moment, and it certainly is at Columbia, says Mark Nenow, vice president of footwear. Inspired by the minimalist movement racing through the athletic world, the company is releasing 25 new lightweight styles for Spring ’12, including a trail running shoe, the Ravenous Lite, weighing in at just over six ounces.
