Comfort shoe brand Taos Footwear is sponsoring Animal Humane New Mexico’s 31st annual Doggie Dash & Dawdle tomorrow in Albuquerque and oh, how we wish we could be there, too. More than 4,000 people and 2,000 dogs are expected to take part in the 5k Dash and two-mile Dawdle at Balloon Fiesta Park, where Taos will sponsor a “Slurp Stop” water station along the race course.
Footwear veteran and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Taryn Rose has been named spokesperson of Taos Footwear. Her new role kicks off at FN Platform in Las Vegas next month, where she will endorse the brand during the Women Entrepreneurs panel presented by Women In Footwear Industry (WIFI) of which she is a distinguished member. She will also be representing the brand at various upcoming committee events as well as taking the opportunity to promote Taos in her role as Google Glass Explorer.
