Meet Shoes Like Pottery, a line of simple unisex canvas lace-ups produced by 140-year-old Japanese company MoonStar. “The big difference is it’s not a molded outsole,” points out Matt Butlett of trading company Marubeni Corporation, who brought the brand to the U.S. in November.
In response to the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, Dansko has committed $125,000 in shoes and financial aid to industry charity Soles4Souls. Dansko employees made monetary donations with the West Grove, PA-based company matching each dollar contributed.
