More than 100 shoe companies will be dedicating their time and resources at 83 food banks, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, environmental groups, youth programs, senior centers, schools and hospitals in 22 states during April as part of Two Ten’s National Footwear Cares Month. Sponsored by Amazon Fashion, the charitable foundation and co-chairs Jeanne Markel (Zappos/Downtown Project) and Scott Briggs (Keds) are hoping to replicate the success of last year’s outing–and then some. A whopping 6,500 footwear volunteers have signed up to lend a helping, um, foot, compared with 3,000 in 2013.
