Alzheimer’s Association voted winner of $75,000 donation from DSW.

Footwear and accessory chain DSW has announced the winner in its Shoe Lovers Care Leave Your Mark program: the Alzheimer’s Assocation. The Chicago-based non-profit was nominated by Patti Gilligan, director of change management at DSW, and will receive $75,000 towards its mission. From June 6 through 24, Shoe Lovers everywhere voted up to once per day on to decide which organization they felt was most deserving of the grant money.

Milk & Honey collaborates with The Fug Girls.

Custom shoe site Milk & Honey kicks off its Tastemaker Series with a limited-edition line designed by the girls behind Milk & Honey by The Fug Girls comprises five preppy silhouettes and proceeds from sales will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. “The quality of their writing and their fashion sensibility made a daily stop for all of us at the office,” says Milk & Honey Co-Founder Dorian Howard.
