Brown Shoe Company celebrates a milestone; throws a party.
Last night Brown Shoe Company celebrated 100 years on the New York Stock Exchange, a milestone only achieved by 23 other companies, with a glitzy bash at 4 World Trade Center in New York. VIP attendees included Black Eyed Pea and shoe designer Fergie (who helped the company ring the closing bell at the NYSE earlier in the day), hip-hop stars Estelle and Nelly, and Harper’s Bazaar editor Derek Blasberg, while Jennifer Hudson was on hand to treat partygoers to a live performance of such hits as “Spotlight” and “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel)”.
