The footwear industry continues to be a leader in charitable giving. Just this week, Clarks Americas in conjunction with a local Boston charity, Triangle, Inc, announced a $500,000 donation to Triangle through its retail stores across the U.S. To date, the retailer has donated more than $5 million to the charity.
For about 8 years, Clarks has been working closely with Triangle by employing a number of Triangle members in the regional office in Newton, MA, helping them live more independent and dignified lives within their communities. Triangle provides support and opportunities for people with disabilities and their families. With ten beautiful homes in Malden, Beverly, Danvers, Reading and Saugus, Triangle is committed to helping the world realize we are all people with ability. Gary Champion, president Clarks Americas and Lesli Gilbert, SVP retail Clarks Americas presented the check to Coleman Nee, CEO Triangle, Inc., Wednesday morning.
