The National Father’s Day Council has named Vince Camuto a recipient of its 2014 Father of the Year award. The father of five will be honored at the 73rd Annual Father of the Year Awards luncheon in New York Hilton Hotel on June 4.
An avid believer in philanthropy, Camuto focuses his efforts on charities that benefit children and families, including Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Leukemia Society of America and the Domestic Abuse Awareness Foundation. He also supports breast cancer research through FFANY Shoes on Sale and serves on the board of Wish-And-A-Smile.
“Vince is a true retail icon who serves as an inspiration and role model for balancing his outstanding career, commitment to philanthropy and devotion to family,” says Dan Orwig, president of the National Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council and vice president, group director men’s division, Itochu Prominent. Past honorees include Bill Clinton, John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan and Colin Powell.
