Urban Cowgirl

New concept shop opens in Brooklyn featuring Western boots and apparel.

unspecifiedEarly this month, Brooklyn designers Daisy Hartmann and Elizabeth NeSmith opened their first concept shop, Wild West Brooklyn, in the borough’s Williamsburg neighborhood. The pop-up shop features home goods, jewelry, clothing, accessories and Western-style boots (primarily footwear label PS Kaufman). The shop celebrated its grand opening last weekend with special in-store performances by two country singers as well the debut of Nudie’s Rodeo Tailors’ collaboration with lingerie label Daisy & Elizabeth. As part of that, customers had own denim customized with a Nudie’s rhinestone eagle decal. The designers hope this shop is the first of a multi-city experience. “We have always envisioned having a boutique for Daisy & Elizabeth, one that encompassed all aspects of our customer’s lifestyle,”offers NeSmith, adding, “We wanted to create a one-stop shop for the ‘modern cowgirl’ that embodies the free-spirit and strong will of the women we dress.”
