Twisted X and Soles4Souls Show Texas-Sized Heart

Decatur, TX-based Twisted X hates to see anyone affected by a natural disaster, but when one (Hurricane Harvey) hit its fellow Texans, the company took it personally. But rather than a knee-jerk response, company officials held many conversations about what it could to do help that wouldn’t just clutter a system that needs to prioritize food and medicine. That’s why Twisted X decided to partner with Soles4Souls to donate more than $1 million worth of its boots and shoes.

“While none of our Twisted X team members were directly affected, we have several retailers and customers who are going through rough time, and we wanted to help in any way we could,” states CEO Prasad Reddy. “We thought that donating shoes and work boots to help victims of this disaster and the first responders is the right thing to do, and decided to distribute them through Soles4Souls.”

“We were thrilled when Twisted X reached out with their offer,” says Buddy Teaster, president and CEO of Soles4Souls. “I continue to be moved by the incredible way individuals and businesses step up in the darkest of times. The footwear Twisted X donates will bring hope and energy back to those who want to get back on their feet as quickly as possible.”

Soles4Souls continues to act as “second wave” responders, working directly with manufacturers and retailers to procure new shoes, clothing and other necessities to distribute to those in need. The charity has set up a Harvey Relief Fund to mobilize product to affected areas and are accepting monetary donations or inviting people to raise funds. People can help provide relief here.
