Leading Japanese Brand Complete Kids’ Range

For the first time in the company’s very long history (138 years, to be exact), Tsukihoshi has little ones from babies to tweens covered with the debut of its pre-walker collection for Fall ’11. Tsukihoshi, the largest manufacturer and distributor of children’s footwear in Japan, has been collaborating with orthopedic specialists to make a line for kids focusing on protecting the health of growing feet.

Every pre-walker shoe is machine washable, antibacterial and lightweight. Like all Tsukihoshi styles, the insoles are infused with green extract to keep moisture and odor at bay. Unique details, like the Hiragana alphabet spelling “Tsukihoshi” on the soles, add a little flair to each pair.

Sizes range from 0-6 months (size 3), 6-9 months (size 3.5), 9-12 (size 4), 12-15 months (size 4.5) and 15-18 months (size 5). Suggested retail for Tsukihoshi pre-walkers is $38. —Meagan Walker
