All the way from Villena, Spain, the Eli company’s shoemaking tradition dates back to 1957. Eli gained worldwide recognition soon thereafter as one of the best Spanish children shoe manufacturers, says Maria Brown, owner of Zassie and the sole distributor of Eli in the United States.
Eli’s brands, Cucada, Papanatas, Eli and Eli Driver, are often featured in magazines such as Vogue Bambini and Elle. Eli’s collection harbors an array of styles, from European classic to contemporary chic. Brown says each collection is a reflection of fine craftsmanship and thoughtful material choices.
Eli is unique in its design of children shoes, especially in the tween category, Brown says. Churning out about 250 styles each season, their selection includes many repeat classics while others reflect the latest trends. Sizes run from newborn to European 41. —Meagan Walker
