Dr. Scholl’s has announced yet another iteration of its classic Original Sandal, child of a collaboration with iconic fashion brand J. Crew. Releasing May 17, the collection includes a playful gingham, modern white, preppy plaid and 
a sexy silver glitter. The limited-edition styles will be available online and in more than 90 J. Crew locations.
The Dr. Scholl’s Original Sandal has a rich heritage, gracing the feet of fashion icons through the decades. It all started with Dr. William Scholl, an inventor and entrepreneur, who designed a simple wood sandal with a brightly colored strap inspired by a vintage clog he found on his travels through Europe. In the mid-1960s, this sandal was worn by Jean Shrimpton, Twiggy and other celebrities making it an instant favorite. This collaboration originated from J.Crew’s interest in the “old school” feeling of the Original Sandal and its rich heritage.
