Sebago celebrates its 70th anniversary with a New York City pop-up shop.
Next Monday, Sebago will launch its Spring/Summer 2016 pop-up within the Wolverine Co. store on Elizabeth Street in New York City. Limited-edition styles for men and women will be available in celebration of the brand’s 70th anniversary.
Throughout the summer, consumers will be able to shop the store for Sebago footwear, apparel and packs and bags. The brand has reinvented some of its most beloved silhouettes: color updates to the iconic Docksides boat shoe, exclusive hand-sewn penny loafers, and a new women’s collaboration with Liberty Art Fabrics. “In honor of our 70th Anniversary, it felt like the right time to celebrate the heritage of our shoes, while also showcasing how far we’ve come in the last seven decades,” adds Dani Zizak, CMO for Sebago. “The importance and reverence of craft has been with us from the beginning and continues to inspire us to deliver the finest products for a life well crafted.”
Men can expect to find Sebago’s iconic boat shoe silhouettes like the Docksides and Spinnaker, and more classic loafer styles like the aptly titled Classic and Heritage Penny. Women’s styles will include the Docksides in Ariaprene (a technology that advances the familiar neoprene fabric into the 21st century), and the Hutto in a cap-toe oxford or smoking flat option. The Pop-Up Store is located at 254 Elizabeth Street (between Houston & Prince) and will run though August. Store Hours are Monday-Saturday, 11am-7pm, and Sunday, 12pm-6pm.
