Skechers sixth annual Pier to Pier Friendship Walk kicks off in nine days in Manhattan Beach, CA, and with $855,331.01 already raised for education and children with special needs, the company is confident it will surpass its $1 million goal by Sunday, Oct. 26.
On hand to help Skechers reach that goal is Steel Sports. Starting at 8 a.m. on the morning of the walk, Steel Sports will donate $5 for every selfie posted and tagged with the #P2PSteelSports hashtag within 24 hours by a walker. Also new this year is Ellen K, co-host of “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” who will join celebrity ambassadors Brooke Burke-Charvet, legendary Hall of Fame baseball manager Tommy Lasorda and Sweet Suspense from season three of The X-Factor, who will be performing the National Anthem.
