For rough-and-ready outerwear and accessories with a polished edge, the new collaboration between Sebago and Filson, a Seattle-based company known for its durable clothing and gear, is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream. The collection of co-branded footwear, apparel and luggage combines Filson’s signature Oil Finish Tin Cloth fabric with Sebago’s premium waterproof leathers, to create boots and bags perfect for everything from stomping down city sidewalks to mountain trails.
“Filson and Sebago are both known for quality, craftsmanship, innovation and style,” says Chris Heffernan, vice president of product development and marketing for Sebago, a division of Wolverine World Wide. “This collaboration provides an opportunity to spotlight two authentic and iconic American brands in one collection.”
The collection, debuting this fall, includes three boot styles—the Osmore, Kettle and Knight—and all feature handsewn constructions, rugged Vibram outsoles, waterproof leather uppers and leather rawhide laces. The line’s apparel and accessories include a jacket and tote bag made out of the Filson Oil Tin Cloth fabric and a duffle bag and field bag fabricated in tan rugged twill.
“The Filson and Sebago brands both possess quality products and designs that have withstood the test of time,” says Mark Korros, Filson’s CEO and president. “It was a natural fit to bring both brands together concentrating on the strengths that brought them both to the table.”—Audrey Goodson
