The latest retail craze: Pop-up shops. The limited-time-only nature of these temporary boutiques bring out buyers in droves—so what better way to sell shoes than combining the concept with a swanky, spring-themed soiree?
Fashion brands Seychelles and BC Footwear enticed shoppers to their New York showroom with a garden-themed party, complete with a pop-up shop offering vintage threads, specialty soaps, retro lingerie and, of course, Seychelles shoes.
While sipping gratis vodka cocktails and munching on hors d’oeuvres, shoppers scoured racks of vintage dresses, brought all the way from L.A. by vintage consulting duo, Elvia Lahman and Hannah Metz of The Loved One. Guests were even treated to a personal style consultation, courtesy of Keiko Lynn, a Harper’s Bazaar-featured fashion blogger.
In addition to vintage duds, the pop-up shop’s shelves were lined with soaps and make-up by Mor Cosmetics, retro lingerie by The Loved One and Seychelles sandals, at 30 percent off for the evening.
After shopping, partygoers modeled their new outfits—along with silk flowers and other props—in a prom-themed photobooth. —Audrey Goodson
