Fresh off the attention its mismatched EvoSpeed Tricks grabbed during this year’s World Cup, athletic giant Puma has unveiled a new marketing effort with the mantra Forever Faster. The campaign, which the German company says will be the start of a long-term marketing strategy, recognizes sportsmen with off-the-wall personalities like the world’s fastest man,Usain Bolt, footballers Mario Balotelli, Sergio Aguero and Marta Vieira da Silva, golfers Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson, and the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team. The TV commercials draw on their swagger to promote Puma’s latest range of products.
“Forever Faster is about Puma making a statement as a brand and reminding people that we are and will continue to be the fastest sports brand in th world,” says Adam Petrick, global marketing director at Puma. “We’ve always been known as a brand that takes risks and that’s not going to change. Forever Faster represents that. This is going to change the way we approach product design and innovation as well as how we market our brand.”
