When consumers make a purchase during September at Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse, they’ll also have the opportunity to donate to the American Heart Association’s Life Is Why We Give fundraising campaign.
Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse is one of the newest national companies to join a growing list of businesses that is helping the American Heart Association fight heart disease and stroke–the number one and number five causes of death in America.
From Fri., Sept. 8 through Sat., Oct. 7, customers who donate $2 or more at the register will receive a free pair of specially designed socks. The socks were produced in partnership with Sock and Accessory Brands Global (SABG). This in-store only fundraising campaign will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the American Heart Association.
“Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse’s philanthropic initiatives trace back to our parent company, The Deichmann Group, which has always supported a culture of giving back,” states Mark Lardie, president CEO of Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse. “That attitude of helping others and bettering the world around us has very seamlessly integrated itself into the Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse culture as we work with the American Heart Association to help them elevate the importance of healthy, preventative lifestyle changes.”
“The American Heart Association thanks companies such as Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse for supporting our work by providing donation opportunities for their customers,” says James Postl, board chairman, American Heart Association. “Having companies like these participate in our Life Is Why We Give campaign makes a great impact in our fundraising efforts to help reduce cardiovascular diseases and stroke.”
