In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the semi-annual Materials Shows, the recent NW Materials Show in Portland, OR, launched its first ever exhibitor competition. Over 35 vendors submitted a range of items for consideration, including leather and textiles, 3D printed sculptural items, synthetic materials, and finished insoles and footwear. Attendees had a chance to touch and feel entries in a hands-on materials display before casting their vote for best in show.

Other anniversary highlights included a new apparel- and design-focused exhibit area, unique presentations and an anniversary reception sponsored by University of Oregon.
