Unlike many fashion brands that satisfy their “giving back to the community requirement” during the holidays, Naot commits to those in need year-round by hosting events across the country with its retail partners. Through a broad range of charitable initiatives, the company is averaging more than 1,000 pairs a week in donations. Naot’s overriding mission: that a new, warm and comfortable shoes can bring joy and happiness to the less fortunate—one pair at a time.
The process is simple. Customers who visit a store hosting a Naot charity drive and try on a pair its shoes means one pair will be automatically donated to the partnered charity. If the customer purchases the shoes, then two pairs will be donated to the charity. Often, Naot runs a contest coinciding with the event where customers can be entered to win a free pair of shoes.
Stores that have held drives in the past year include Me & My Feet in Oakdale, CA; Birkenstock Midtown in Sacramento, CA; Schuler Shoes in Maple Grove, MN; Woldruff’s in Goshen, IN; Neat Feet in Melbourne Beach, FL; Foster’s Shoes in Tucson, AZ; Shoenique in Longmeadow, MA; Valentine Footwear in Bangor, ME; and Walk ‘N Shoes in Boca Raton, FL.
