Chaco establishes a relief fund for Tennessee wildfire victims.

In response to the devastating wildfires near Gatlinburg, TN, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park last week, Chaco and parent company Wolverine Worldwide have teamed up with the East Tennessee Red Cross to support the residents of the surrounding communities.

The East Tennessee Red Cross is working tirelessly to recover missing residents and provide assistance to the many thousands of people who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and loved ones in the tragedy. Chaco and Wolverine Worldwide have established a fundraising campaign to support these efforts. Pledging an initial $5,000 to the Red Cross’s relief efforts, they are now offering a 2:1 match for all new donations. For every $1 donated, the company will contribute $2, up to an additional $20,000.

“This tragedy hit home for everyone on our team,” offers Seth Cobb, president of Chaco. “So many members of the Chaco community were impacted—friends, customers, retail store staff – that we felt urgent action was needed. We hope many more individuals will join us as we look to help people recover and rebuild.”
