In a bid to respond to the needs of the industry and remain competitive, organizers of the Italian footwear trade show Micam have announced they are moving the dates of next year’s spring product edition to Sept. 1-4, 2015. The most recent edition of the show took place Aug. 31-Sept. 3, having shifted from Sept. 15-18 in 2013. “The last year has made it possible to verify how moving the dates forward has contibuted to the increase of orders placed at the show, despite the general decline in visitors due to the Italian market’s difficulties and the worsening of the crisis in Russia,” says Cleto Sagripanti, president of Assocalzaturifici and Micam. “We believe that this strategic line will allow us to strengthen [the show’s] international role, and that the event’s new structure will have a positive impact for everyone involved.” The fall go-round of Micam has been advanced to Feb. 15-18.
