In honor of nurses’ week, Lamo Footwear has donated 100 pairs of Lamo-Lite styles to the HOLLIBLU nursing community. Five HOLLIBLU coordinators were chosen nationwide to receive 20 pairs of shoes to distribute within their network of coworkers, friends and family.
“It’s an honor to give back to such a deserving community,” states Lamo COO Jerry Brieg. “After 25 successful years in the footwear industry, we are thankful to be able to prioritize giving back. HOLLIBLU makes it possible for our comfort focused styles to reach nurses all over the country and provide a little bit of relief for incredible healthcare professionals. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with HOLLIBLU in the future and seeing how nurses incorporate Lamo into their day, both on and off shift!”
This marks the second footwear donation from Lamo to HOLLIBLU since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. This time, an emphasis was placed on all-day comfort through styles that included the brand’s new EVA Lamo-Lite outsoles. Known for its cloud-like feel, Lamo wanted to ensure that each recipient had a comfortable pair of shoes to slip on after a long shift.
“HOLLIBLU is incredibly excited to continue this partnership with Lamo,” says CEO Cara Lunsford. “Our platform is geared entirely to helping nurses succeed and have access to resources. Providing comfortable footwear is no exception. In this profession, we know how important self-care can be and when you’ve been on your feet all day, having something comfortable to slip on is truly the first step!”
Nurses receive the “Paula Breeze” from the Lamo-Lite collection.
