“Ladies First, Indeed!” Keds Welcomes Emily Culp As New CMO

Culp brings years of leadership experience in the digital marketing space.

Staying true to their newly-minted global brand platform “Ladies First Since 1916,” Keds announced that they have appointed Emily Culp as chief marketing officer. Culp will take on strategic development and execution of content, PR, digital, omnichannel marketing and retail development at the brand.

“The timing is perfect, as we launch a new global platform that embraces a new conversation about equality and female empowerment,” says Keds President Chris Lindner of the hire. “Her digital background and omni-channel marketing experience–combined with a passion for our consumer and category—make Emily the ideal marketer to champion our mission.”

“I could not be more excited to join such an iconic brand at this moment in time,” Culp adds. “Keds has remained relevant for almost 100 years and I look forward to playing a leading role in the brand’s next historical chapter.  Ladies First, indeed!”

Culp’s resume includes marketing leadership roles at Ogilvy, Digitas, Estee Lauder Co., Unilever and Rebecca Minkoff; at the latter, she spearheaded the e-commerce and omnichannel marketing teams and was integral in creating the brand’s innovative NYC flagship store (an achievement for which she was recognized by Fast Company and Forbes).
