This past Sunday, Kobe Bryant made a surprise appearance to present Nike CEO Mark Parker with The Visionary Award at the National Retail Federation Foundation Gala in New York City. Bryant has collaborated with Parker on his Nike sneaker collection, known for its signature low-top style, for more than a decade.
More than 700 leaders in the retail industry, including Shark Tank’s Daymond John, Randi Zuckerberg, Container Store Chairman Kip Tindell and HSNi CEO Mindy Grossman attended the gala, raising more than $2 million for the NRF Foundation’s programs that focus on developing talent through education and scholarships, as well as fostering career growth among people who work in retail.
