Yesterday, footwear companies across the industry came together to volunteer at the Food Bank for New York City as a part of the Two Ten Footwear Foundation’s #FootwearCares initiative. Participants across two shifts helped check, sort and pack food items that the organization distributes across the city to residents in need. All together, the groups yielded 7,500 meals for families who need it most.
Footwear Plus joined fellow New York companies including Deer Stags, Footwear News, Pentland Brands, Schwartz and Benjamin, NPD Group and Aetrex. “The footwear industry is so large, yet at the same time, so close,” offers Lacoste Senior Marketing Manager Colby Jarvis, who joined his fellow Pentland Brands employees to work at the event. “Being able to set aside work and focus on helping such a great cause with contacts and peers across the industry really reminded me what a great industry we are fortunate enough to work in!”
