Famous Footwear, a division of Caleres, is again partnering with Ticket to Dream Foundation to complete a home makeover for a deserving family this holiday season. With help from Angels’ Arms, Ticket to Dream and Famous Footwear will make over a family’s living room, dining room and bedrooms, as well as fulfill the family’s holiday gift wish lists.
The Home for the Holidays Makeover by Ticket to Dream Foundation and Famous Footwear selected the Blumenthal family of Ballwin, MO, for their selflessness and generosity. The Blumenthal family has fostered more than 175 children since they became foster parents over 20 years ago. Their home is always full of kids and love, and they are currently providing a home for nine kids between the ages of three and 18. The makeover is set for Nov. 10, with a reveal that day at 3:30 p.m. CST.
“It is a great privilege to be able to help such a deserving family who has done so much for others get a refresh in time for the holidays,” says Mike Edwards, president of Famous Footwear. “We encourage our associates to give back through participation in the makeover and it truly is a life-changing experience.”
“Working alongside Famous Footwear and Angel Arms, we will be able to bring this loving family a home makeover the whole family will enjoy,” states Gina Davis, CEO, Ticket to Dream Foundation. “With nine kids, maximizing space can be a challenge and everything can get worn. We want to create a space where they can eat together, do homework or relax in rooms decorated with them in mind.”
