Converse is no stranger to musician collaborations, having joined forces with everyone from Nirvana to ACDC to Metallica over the years. Now the iconic brand has teamed up with Black Sabbath to bow a collection of five designs based on its classic Chuck Taylor All-Stars.
Artwork from the British band’s Ozzy-era albums features predominantly throughout the collaboration: the grainy self-titled 1970 debut makes its mark on one shoe, while a phased-out image of man wielding a sword on another harks back to the band’s second release. Elsewhere an interior lining features classic black and white images of the band’s original lineup, and another design features a graphic of Ozzy from the fourth album’s cover. The collection hits stores this spring, retailing between $60 and $70. Visit www.converse.com.
