Converse celebrates the creative spirit of Andy Warhol.

create animated gifConverse is the latest label to put a sartorial spin on Andy Warhol’s iconic prints, marrying the artist’s distinct vision with the Chuck Taylor All Star for Spring ’15. “With this collection, we aim to celebrate the launch of the Converse Andy Warhol Collection and are proud to announce that a portion of the  proceeds will support the foundation’s endowment from which it has distributed nearly $250 million in grants supporting contemporary visual arts,” says Michael Hermann, director of licensing at The Andy Warhol Foundation. “This unique collaboration honors the artist’s enduring legacy which inspires us to ignore convention and proudly be whatever we want to be.”

Retailing from $60 to $95, the collection includes a reinterpretation of one of Warhol’s most recognizable prints – the Campbell’s soup can – on an array of footwear for men and women: a singular soup can print is utilized in bold primary colors on a hi-top, while the lo-top stacks the cans on top of one another to create a layered pattern.
