Camtrade LLC, parent company of Soft Comfort and Secret Celebrity women’s brands, has named Gene DeCristofaro president. In this new role, DeCristofaro will oversee the company”s sales, product design and development areas.

DeCristofaro started his career working in a small shoe shop, servicing and fitting customers. He then worked his way up from there. Prior to joining Camtrade, he had spent more than 35 years in executive management positions, most recently with The Rockport Company. Previous career stops have included Clarks Companies North America, Bostonian, Earth Shoes and Dry Dock, among others.
“Gene has learned every detail of the shoe business explicitly from the ground up,” Cammarata says. “This is a rare and invaluable talent these days.”
