Take the Plunge
Michael Kors and Derek Lam made a splash with formfitting scuba-inspired silhouettes and tailoring. But leave the fins to the fish. The very literal trend looks less like a costume in footwear with details like color blocking and sporty stripes.

Global Girls
Giambatista Valli, Thakoon and a tribe of other high-end designers gave a sneak peak of the African-inspired designs that are expected to be one of spring’s biggest trends. Mixed textures with a hint of shine convey the luxe look in footwear.

The Scoop
Rochas and Emilio Pucci showed soft shades of sherbet orange and pistachio green—refreshing alternatives to shocking neon—that make tans look even better. Footwear with smooth color-soaked suede captures a similar vibe.
