Wolverine Company Store Event for Red Cross Aid

Heritage work brand Wolverine is having a charity meet-and-greet on Nov. 16 at its pop-up shop at 242 Elizabeth Street in New York's Nolita neighbhorhood. The event is part of the Capsule Neighborhood Network taking place this Friday and Saturday. Retailers, showrooms and restaurants in downtown Manhattan are offering discounts and sample sales to entice shoppers back to an area that lost a lot of sales during Hurricane Sandy and the blackout that followed the storm.

The event is part of the Capsule Neighborhood Network taking place this Friday and Saturday. Retailers, showrooms and restaurants in downtown Manhattan are offering discounts and sample sales to entice shoppers back to an area that lost a lot of sales during Hurricane Sandy and the blackout that followed the storm. 

Samantha Pleet will join Wolverine’s footwear designer Carrie Hill and a group of jewelry designers from the Shiny Squirrel Showroom from 7-9 p.m. for an evening of shopping, drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Twenty percent of the entire weekend’s sales will be donated to the Red Cross to help hurricane victims. Other donations will also be accepted.
