Last night, Stuart Weitzman put the paddle to the metal in support of ovarian cancer research, hosting a charity ping-pong tournament and silent auction in New York. All proceeds from the event will be presented to Dr. Marsha Moses of Boston’s Folkman Research Institute, who has been doing pioneering research to help squash the disease.

The founder and CEO of Stuart Weitzman Holdings showed off his impressive table tennis skills at SPiN, a state-of-the-art ping-pong club recently opened in Manhattan, but the top title went to Joel Roodyn, a founding member of SPiN and Maccabi Games Chairman of men’s table tennis.
Model and actress Joy Bryant joined in on the fun, playing in Stuart Weitzman’s 50/50 fall knee boots. Model Carol Alt, Wyatt Cenac of “The Daily Show,” Danny Clark of the New York Giants and socialite Fabiola Beracasa were also in attendance, facing off with opponents and sipping cocktails while showing their support for the women’s cause.
