Going back to its roots of comfort and style, Volatile is revisiting the fashion sneaker for its Spring ’13 collection called Volatile Kicks. “Volatile sneakers are iconic in the fashion-athletic category,” says Bodo Loerke, creative director. “Through the years customers have continued to ask for them and and we are now very excited to offer the Volatile Kicks collection–classics with a twist.”

The sneaker line embraces color–from neon to pastel, and everything in between–as well as accents such as rhinestones, stripes, sequins and floral details. The 35 various styles retail from $69 to $99 and include select designs with Velcro and lace-less options. The brand cites designers such as Marc Jacobs, Isabel Marant and Helmut Lang as influences. “This collection offers trendy teens, high-flying hipsters and working women alike a retro look with familiar silhouettes featuring fresh updates in materials and patterns,” notes Kelli Kasmir, senior designer of Kicks.

Volatile Kicks joins the Palos Verdes Footwear Inc. family, which also includes Very Volatile and Sbicca. The sneaks will hit shelves beginning in February.
