I know I’m not the only writer who’s wondered what it must feel like to be Carrie Bradshaw and own $40,000 worth of designer shoes. And from April 24 through May 3 we’re in with a shot at a taste of it. Memorabilia auction site Gotta Have Rock and Roll will host a celebrity shoe auction with proceeds going to benefit New York’s LaGuardia High School and several pairs of autographed shoes worn by Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of Sex and the City are on the block. Also up for the grabs will be Ray Charles’ Bally leather loafers, Elvis’ Vegas boots and Britney Spears’ lyrics-inscribed wedges.
