Study shows that going barefoot makes you healthier.

The Journal of Alternative Medicine recently published a study that found earthing--the belief that going barefoot puts you in direct physical contact with the Earth's magnetic field--can reduce blood viscosity and clumping. Researchers concluded that the practise appears to be one of the simplest interventions to help reduce cardiovascular risk. Another small study from the same journal in 2004 found a link between grounding and significantly lower cortisol levels during sleep, particularly in women.

Luckily for those of us that can’t go barefoot all the time (or just don’t want to) brands like Pluggz and Juil have developed earthing shoes, which aim to keep your body connected to the Earth through your feet. Pluggz feature a “plug” made of carbon and rubber inside the sole of the shoes that hits the most conductive point in the foot, while the copper conductors in Juil channel natural energies that act as antioxidants.
