In bizarre news, Sibling, a collective based in Melbourne, Sydney and Amsterdam, has designed a human shelter stored within a pair of sneakers. No, this isn't a joke.

In bizarre news, Sibling, a collective based in Melbourne, Sydney and Amsterdam, has designed a human shelter stored within a pair of sneakers. No, this isn’t a joke. The ‘Walking Shelter’ is a mobile habitat that unfolds from net pockets on the outside of the shoes and surrounds the wearer’s body to form an enclosure that relies on the human frame for support. The purple and blue shelter is stored compactly in the integrated pockets and then expands outwards when removed. The odd-looking human-supported (and impractical) tent was created for the Australian online retailer Gorman.
