Fashion footwear company Michael Antonio stepped out in support of Stop Child Trafficking Now (SCTN) on Sunday, Sept. 27, sponsoring a Stilettos Run to kick off a fundraising walk in support of the cause. Despite rainy weather, approximately 320 people (both women and men!) participated in the New York race, setting a new Guinness world record.
As a sponsor, Michael Antonio donated shoes and other prizes to race participants. “Michael Antonio has always sought to improve and impact the lives of others whenever possible,” CEO Michael Su says. “We’ve had great success in partnering with organizations like Soles4Souls, local colleges and charity fashion events for a variety of causes including providing shoes for those in need and funding disease research. We couldn’t be more proud to work with SCTNow in an attempt to end child trafficking.”
Between SCTN walks and runs held across the country, participants raised at least half a million dollars—and additional awareness—for the organization, which aims to get Americans involved in the fight against worldwide child trafficking.
