PF Flyers Turns the Big 7-5

Last night, PF Flyers marked its 75th anniversary with an old-school birthday bash at the Bowery Diner in New York's East Village. The event, which celebrated the brand's long-standing "Authentic American Style," was complete with a menu of quintessential American styaples like cheeseburgers, fried chicken and mac and chesse--along with a bevy of tasty cocktails (named after famous PF Flyers sneakers), milkshakes and, of course, shoes to top it all off.

PF Flyers partied in style with friends and footwear insiders and even sent guests home with a freshly brewed American Farmhouse Ale made specifically to honor the brands three-quarters of a century in business.

Also on the menu were highlight pieces from its Fall ’12 line, include the Center hi- and low-top sneakers–which come in classic navy and red colorways, as well as a cozy fair isle pattern–the made-for-the-dock Windjammer boat shoe and the popular Grounder basketball shoe.
