Offprice heats up the desert.

Billed as the show for quality fashion at a low price, Offprice returned to the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas (Aug. 17-20) and didn't disappoint, according to Stephen Krogulski, chief executive officer of the show. "What we found is that many retailers came to Vegas ready to buy again and restock their shelves. Because of that, shopping Offprice has become a must," he says, adding, "Retailers simply cannot afford to miss the show."

The 38th installment of the show kicked off Fashion Week in Las Vegas to the tune of 125,000-square-feet of booth space and 500 exhibitors, many carrying product at up to 70 percent below wholesale. The show’s attendance also increased slightly from last August’s event, at which more than 10,000 buyers were present. “This show was one of my best,” says Moshe Sarraf, owner and president of Beverly Hills Uniforms in New York. “The majority were new customers. We opened up a lot of new accounts, both large and small stores alike.”
