Macbeth Footwear Donates to Soles4Souls

Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt announced that royalty proceeds from his Macbeth Studio Project shoes—totaling $10,000—will be donated towards Soles4Souls’ Haitian relief efforts. Lisa Clifford, marketing director for Macbeth Footwear, says introducing Dirnt to the international shoe charity was a “win, win for everyone involved.” Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls Wayne Elsey agrees: “With the help of our friends at Macbeth and Mike Dirnt, Haitians can begin to rebuild their lives and look forward to a brighter day.” Soles4Souls is working with other organizations on the ground in Haiti to transport aid and has already distributed more than 100,000 pairs of shoes and clothing items to victims. The non-profit plans to continue to send shoes throughout 2010.
